Just came across the work of Chris James Carter. Who uses a double C the same as these single C's on the cups. Do you think it could be by him?

It looks like the way that Richard Dewar signs his work i.e. not the mark on the bottom but the signature near the foot. Not sure on the style but could be old work by him. He potted Gloucester way in the 1970s before moving to France.

Soooo, all these 9 or 10 cm bowls are not following the tradition. They do need to be big, like a soup bowl 13cm.
Very interesting - Who would have guessed about the green gunk whisk thing... very strange

Not teabowls, but since most of the ones on this thread aren't strictly teabowls either I may as well post them here.

Minoo-ware chawan by Kizan II
Minoo-ware chawan made by Kizan II in the 1960s.
Minoo-ware was founded in 1921 after Shio Matsuda (Kizan I) visited Minoo village, which at the time was ablaze with autumn leaves and in full splendour. He was struck by the vibrancy of the red, so he set up a kiln and began to create pottery that he hoped would capture the beauty of the season. He held his first solo exhibition in Hankyu Department store in 1937, and the Emperor himself paid a visit to the kiln in 1956. Minoo-ware is now in its third generation but still maintains its low-fired hand shaped Raku characteristics.

Re: Teabowls
I've had a look at other bowls by Eika Miyaji on the internet and to me even some of his that have hand painting do appear from images to be part transfer as well. Not all but some. The seal is correct so it does come from him in Kyoto so Kyo-ware is a correct description.
I think buying Japanese bowls without boxes generally means that they are much cheaper.
It is sweet but I don't think I'd feel comfortable drinking tea out of it.

Son said the vase looked like someone had mashed up a load of Oreo cookies. Definitely has a chocolate cake and cream vibe going on.

This was actually one of his glaze test pots but I berated him for not selling them as cups when I went to his open studio so he gave me this one to go with the bottle vase I'd bought off him :)
