Teabowls
We have a teapot gallery , I would like to see more Teabowls on show any pics you have post this way , I think investment wise they are a good buy , easy to post , relatively cheap in most cases , also it means in theory you could buy a small piece of a well known potters work as opposed to there much larger and more expensive pieces , they are easy to display as well , so whatever you want to call them Teabowls Chawans etc. I for one would like to see them , Unomis/ yunomis welcome

Can't get to it at the mo for a better photo, but I think this is probably the only proper one (studio, contemporary, not a tumbler or sugar bowl) I have that fits the bill.

Re: Teabowls
The Henderson would probably meet the Japanese criteria for a good teabowl i.e. it leaks.
I am informed that the preferred teabowls in Japan are those made of raku, which leak, followed by Hagi, which also leak.
I'll dig out some images of Japanese ones.

Re: Teabowls
Found some Japanese/Chinese ones
These teabowls & saucers were sold in Tiger a couple of years ago for just a few quid, but I think they're really beautiful. Unmarked.

A friend bought this for me in a posh store in Paris (she says
). Crystalline glaze.
It has a Kanji/Kangxi mark on the footrim which I can't read.

Modern Satsuma teabowl
