Not his usual style. Tin glazed, I think, rather than the honey slipware.

Thanks Philpot. Lucky you!!
I want to email him to see if a platter I have is one of his - I fear it may not be though as it's not signed ( I've posted a request in the ID section)

Alan Frewin, Nonsuch Pottery
I'm not partial to slip wear but found this, it's not in excellent condition but looked like it had some age...with a mark I could id!
I've searched and I think it's Alan Frewin. Could anyone tell me if it's likely to be Nonsuch Pottery because I've read he only owned it for a short period between 1965-67.

Re: Alan Frewin, Nonsuch and Millhouse Potteries slipware
Yes, it's his early mark before moving to Norfolk in 1970.

Re: Alan Frewin, Nonsuch and Millhouse Potteries slipware
Yes, it's similar to the example in the BSPM book, used 1965-70 at Nonsuch Pottery and London before he moved to Millhouse Pottery in Norfolk and changed it to a windmill

Re: Alan Frewin, Nonsuch and Millhouse Potteries slipware
He died a couple of years ago, and the estate seems to have been trying to sell his surviving work on Ebay. While they are nice pieces, they are rather overpriced for what his pottery normally has sold for.

these items just collect dust, better to get use out of them and enjoy them

Re: Alan Frewin, Nonsuch and Millhouse Potteries slipware
I wondered why there had been a flurry on one off pieces on eBay recently.

I think I'm right in saying he was ex Briglin. Which would normally interest me, but he doesn't do it for me
Re: Alan Frewin, Nonsuch and Millhouse Potteries slipware
I think its pretty cool - just the type of item I love to find
