Thanks for that….I have been through Maak last night before it arrived….And the bigger houses I couldn’t find any the same shape….I will be looking this evening early 80s ish is good with me….

the Saleroom is probably the best site to look. They have a drop down menu on the top left of the screen. Open that, and scroll down to the bottom. There is a prices link there. Chose Sold prices search. It will give you a very large number of pieces to look back on!

That is a nice one Studio! Any idea of its date? Stylistically it looks rather early 1980's. That very accomplished decoration against a whire background. That style looks quite different from his later 80's and 90's work.

The Aberystwyth collection has several pieces from the early 1980's the decoration palette is often very similar.

The Crafts Council purchased a similar jug to mine in 1984 so that kind of helps to narrow it down….

What is very interesting is Maltby's date change from this sort of style, to his lot more colourful style, Given that this decorative palette was quite successful for him
