No I was certain it was not 1921, in my original post I said that the previous owner put a somewhat optimistic sticker on. They are porcelain and feel modern but I was stumped by them as I had not seen the like, certainly not in porcelain.

Thank you for this - do you know when Cosmic was in production? (I believe around 2000?)

Does anyone recognise the paintress' mark in the pic below? It doesn't seem to be one of the well-known ones, and without a copy of Hayward & Atterbury I've reached a dead end.

This mug my wife bought from M&S a few years ago. It says it's made in England, so maybe it's Poole:

Could be a Cities in sketch design but it should say Poole on the base.

No mention of Poole, but it looks like the same designer.

Going back to the 'Cosmic' pattern vase, the paintress mark looks like Dawn Polden. Cosmic was one of the early 'living glaze' patterns and was discontinued c.2001 - probably when they went into administration for the first time. Upto around 2001 the bases of vases were white with printed backstamps whilst all later vases had moulded bases that incorporated 'poole' and the dolphin.

I’ll move it to a separate thread as it’s not yet IDed as Poole

Cosmic was introduced in 2000 and was quite short lived. I don't have an exact date but it was not in the 2004 catalogue. The paintress mark is for Dawn Polden.

I love the decoration on this pot, no idea of the pattern/range name, though.

Its called 'African Sunset' and I think it is still in production. First produced about 2008/2009.

I think that this little plate is from a range produced in the early 1980s. Initials at the bottom on the front are those of Barbara Adams (if memory serves) who designed the range. The decorator's initials are on the back next to the Poole stamp.
Not the prettiest Poole out there but I do like birds.

Yes late 1970s through the 80s. Designed by Barbara Linley Adams, your dish was
decorated by Janet Stone 1978.
