Excited with this find!! Katherine Pleydell-Bouverie? triangle shaped mark
Hi all, been meaning to join this forum for a long time. Came across this amazingly well made piece this weekend, the pictures don't truly do the form and glaze justice! Could it be Katherine Pleydell-Bouverie? The stamp is very indistinct but I seem to find that consistent with much of her work. The form and glaze at the very least made me think of KPB. Any help appreciated, or other suggestions :)

I'm seeing a triangular shaped stamp which isn't one of her recorded stamps. Unfortunately it's unclear what letters are inside it; maybe AK?
Some examples of her marks on this thread - https://www.20thcenturyforum.com/t17078-katharine-pleydell-bouverie

I don't think it looks anything like KPB personally sorry, but a picture of the base would help.

I'll upload a few more detailed images after work. Thank you for the link Naomi - I saw this stamp as more of a rectangle that had been partly covered by glaze, and letters somewhat 'smushed' together, as I've seen with certain KPB pieces (except on the underside and a little more clear) Potty, I'd seen more pieces of similar style and form, apart from the grooves being slightly less pronounced and lip slightly thinner. I'm still learning though, hopefully more pictures later will help :)

Maybe an impression of the mark would help? AR?

I understand what you mean for sure, but there are a number of subtle differences(clay, base, foot etc) which lead me to thinking it's not KPB, the base pics(thanks) confirm this in my opinion. I'm no expert on her work, SP has seen for more of it than me, so hopefully he'll see this thread.

If Naomi is right (and I think she is) and it is a triangular mark, it could well be a pot by Marianne de Trey. Unfortunately the mark should be the other way up if it is. With fluted pots note the slope direction of the flutes. It is usually consistent for the potter. For example on David Leach's fluted bowls the slope is in the opposite direction (right to left base to rim).
