2 Yellow Glass Vases Stipple Decor
I am at a loss to know anything about these 2 vases - they seem handmade as are slightly different to each other in terms of height and dia.
Any insights truly appreciated! I am assuming they are vases rather than candlestick holders as glass and the top part is clouded but think that is part of the making process rather than any residue or water marks?

They are Victorian and usually known as Thorn Glass. Probably uranium and possibly made by one of the Stourbridge companies.

Because of its oily appearance, the cloudy effect is also commonly known as Vaseline glass.

A pair here attributed to Thomas Webb, although as Davee says similar were made by other Stourbridge companies,

If you access to a UV light, it would be interesting to see if they glow.

A few examples of how uranium glass looks under UV light

If you don't have a UV light a cheap option is one of the banknote-testing pens which have a built-in UV torch, only a couple of quid or so. The darker the room when you're using it the better the effect.
