Re: Stoneware pedestal vase
Could well be.
This is the same as Chillington Pottery?
Would make sense as I’m in South Devon

It’s an Asian copy of a Dutch(?) MCM studio potter’s work who’s name I can’t remember right now. His work is handmade and fully marked, where as these copies are moulded and unmarked

Aha! Thank you. I’d rather hear it was a lovely MCM piece but I’m glad I’m not selling it as such. Glaze inside wasn’t so good and I wasn’t sure if it was thrown or moulded. Thanks, Naomi!

Re: Stoneware pedestal vase
The glaze inside isnt very stable. They sometimes have the metal frogs for flower arranging glued inside and the glaze can breakdown if it’s wet for too long

Pieter Groeneveldt is the potter I was trying to think of. There’s a thread here with more information. The early copies of his work were Dutch but I’ve since read on a European FB group that they think there was a second flood of copies from Asia. There are certainly a lot around in various sizes
