Tony Morris Medlar Tree
16.5 inch charger thrown by Russel Sydenham, the tree is growing in his mother's garden so it's quite apt that Tony asked Russel to throw this piece.
The blooms in the tree are not blossom but climbing orchids and the backdrop a beautiful dry-stone wall.

Hi, I have a vase version of the gannets.
The repeated pattern made by the wings going around is fascinating.
Is Tony Morris still working?

Re: Tony Morris
'A' was sept 1999,B was Oct 1999,the number denoted how many were made that month.
i.e. 1 was on the 1st of the month,2 was on the 2nd and so on

Re: Tony Morris
Dan - One question I have - how many of each charger would they have produced? Would this be a limited run or would you be able to find more of this charger?

Re: Tony Morris
Tony made all of them freehand so they are all unique but he possibly made quite a few of a similar design to yours.
I don't think reliable records were kept and get the impression that the output control was fairly informal just as long as a decent number of chargers were made each week

Re: Tony Morris
That's beautiful! Thanks Dan. Reluctant to sell it now I know it is a one off! I've no idea what they are worth anyway as this is my first foray into this type of thing. I bought the charger from a retailer in 2000 to go into a house we had just bought
