Re: Dartington Pottery
Thank you everyone for your input. Can I ask you Davee, is it the same pattern and glaze?

Re: Dartington Pottery
Yes it is identical, if I ever find it in my mountain of boxes I'll get a picture.

Re: Dartington Pottery
Nothing there to suggest it is anything but a Dartington lidded dish without a mark. The decoration just looks typical Dartington from a specific period to me. Nothing really to suggest any specific link with David Leach either. Maybe that is just some attribution made to try and make these things seem more worthy or valuable.

Re: Dartington Pottery
Seeing the other two bowls on Ebay with nearly identical marks made me think it was a signature rather than a decorative flourish!

Re: Dartington Pottery
Probably a signature but it’s from Dartington’s standard range and they employ a number of decorators so difficult to know which one signed this piece. It doesn’t really matter who’s monogram it is tbh, unless you’re a relation.

Wonderful. There are a few pieces which we’re stumped on

I bought pottery with the large mark directly from Dartington in 2009 after their move to Grayshott

A rather charming fruit bowl - Micro LP or LD stamp - Dartington Pottery
Hi
One of those pieces which really grows on you. Unfortunately the camera does not like non daylight but a lovely speckled blue glaze.
The base rim has one of the smallest marks I've ever seen and certainly so for the piece's size.
Looks like LP but could be LD and I'm thinking one of the later Leach's perhaps?
Thanks

Re: Dartington Pottery
Not Leach. That was the original Brown, brown, brown pottery . I agree, looks like the Dart/Dartington mark. Equally the vivid colour points that way as well.

Re: Dartington Pottery
Its a Dart/Dartington Pottery mark. They started down at Dartington in Devon the early 1970's, and were taken over by Grayshott Pottery in the early years of 2000. They are renowned for Bright colourful designs.
