Edinburgh (Ingliston)

On this coming weekend. I'll be going up as usual. Don't often buy that much, but lots to see,
and places to go on the way up, and on the way back.

A couple of bits at the fair, should cover the trip anyway!

Next one is next weekend. I will be there, having missed the last one.

Not great today, a bit quiet, only 2 items, Left an unusial Rosemary Wren flask @ 25,
but the seller, who was convinced it was Swedish wouldn't come down, even after
me pointing out a chip on the rim, story of the day, all too pricey.

Dedication travelling all that way today. I wish I still had it................. sometimes.

Ha Ha SP, It's a night away, love Scotland, just wish it was better, but 50 charities
on the way up, and back, kind of covered the trip anyway.

Even with a night away it's still a great effort. Must be around a 600 mile round trip?

Soon comes around, the next one is 27/28 Feb, hope the good people of
Edinburgh have some goodies for me!

Oh dear, nothing at the fair, bought some Denby plates to make my entrance money.
The aisles are getting wider every time!

Yes better yesterday. I may not bother with the winter ones in future.

9th & 10th September. Usually a decent one.

Well it wasn't that great, lets hope next weekend is better.

NOV 19th / 20th

No it wasn't. Got nothing, but did ok on Chester le Street flea, and 61 charity shops
there and back.

Why do I put myself through this agony?
One more try at the fair this weekend,
though I did get a couple of bits at the last one.

Funny how often I buy Pewter items up there, nothing else though.
they'll look ok when I've done them up.

Where do you stay in Edinburgh? Looks one the priciest places in Btitain outside London!

Portobello, 25 a night, on the beach!

So you drive 300 miles there. Stopping at every charity shop between here and eternity.
Camp on the beach.
Go to a show which you have been moaning about for years that there is '
'Nothing there'....See Above...
Then drive 300 miles back stopping at every charity shop between eternity and there.
And it does not exactly seem you have a treasure trove of fantabulousness for your troubles See Above!

Errr that's about it in a nutshell! What I meant was, the B&B is on the seafront by the
beach,

Also visit a few centres/antique/junk shops too.

Should easily make 150 on the pewter now it's cleaned, and I got a fantastic inkwell
(though I didn't know it at the time) in a charity shop in Penrith.

...gets you out of he house.... saw some lovely countryside I bet?

Exactly, love the drive up there, Usually cover myself with what I get in the charities,
but the fair itself is variable to say the least.

But I justt can't say no, off again next Friday for the Fair 18/19 Nov....

This time I promise I will show Everyting I bought.

I've been patiently waiting for promised photos and tales of mazing bargains. Was it worth the journey or 'never again' ?
