His public commissions, in various media, have earned him an International reputation. He lives in North Yorkshire continuing to work on portraits and landscapes.
I recently bought a piece of studio pottery the name of it's maker is Robert Brumby, creator the the Madonna & child sculpture in Liverpool cathedral
Does anyone have info that might help me research this painter & ceramic designer please?

Re: Robert Brumby, York
they were made in the 1960's, I rate Brumby as one of the best British ceramic artists of the 20th Century

I assume that the "r" is for Robert so it is welcome to the Forum and to your thread!
If people do wish to contact you then they will be able to do so using the PM button, which may have happened already.

Robert Brumby, York
Hi all
I purchased a piece of pottery last week . On the back it reads. . Abstract cross made by Bob Brumby York 1969. I have tied to research and found this forum. Can anyone advise me if Bob was ever used instead of Robert . I have very little info but love the item . I will post a picture.
Thanks in advance
Sue
