A couple of Tony Morris Dragonfly Poole plate (edited to add 2nd dragonfly plate that I’d spotted in Somerset earlier in the year)

at that price, it must be a Tony Morris design but not painted by Tony himself

It was in a cabinet so I couldn’t see the base. Maybe the dealer wanted a quick sale. It was at a antiques place near Didcot that was closing at the end of August

£200 profit for you if it's a TM dragonfly

Hopefully it’ll turn up at one of the nearby antiques dealerships

Its one of an edition of 100 pieces in that pattern. The design is by Tony Morris but it wont be painted by him.

So very nice but not hugely valuable.

Poole bowl, no.76. I dont know if this is pre- or post-1980

Definately Aegean range, 1970's. They did a smaller version of that shape - no. 75 - which was also used for the Delphis range. I always think that the blue/grey colour was nicer than the more common yellow/orange colour seen on the majority of Aegean pieces.

Got this in time for Christmas - a 5" dish with the later Studio mark...

I now will never look at Atlantis without thinking it was made from clay that had been run over by a truck!

Many Sienna signatures are a mystery, nice plate though, don't remember seeing one.
