Id please on this yunomi tea bowl, NY OR OJ OR TJ

there is a mark at the base can't really see the first letter clearly maybe NJ OR OJ OR TJ but the last letter is definatly J

please i need help with this tea bowl.... studiopot and tenpot do you guys know who this maker is? can't make out the first letter still trying to make out the first letter any clue would help please

I don't really know but this might be a glaze/clay body test piece and the letters are the potter's code rather than their mark.

My thinking is that the piece is well thrown and the glazes are complex but the mark doesn't look like that a potter usually uses on their finished work.

It doesn't look the right shape for a yunomi - more like a tumbler or just a little pot.
The lettering looks more like a student's monogram than an experienced potter's, and the shape (neither one thing nor another) leads me to think this is a student piece.

btw, what size is it?

The foot is too good for a student , Chawan = teabowl , Unomi= tea cup , I never understand the fascination with british pots being called eastern names , a tea bowl is a tea bowl imo.

Looks like a Westerner's idea of a teabowl.
