Picked this up at a jumble sale on the weekend. Mtarfa glass bowl, signed on base.
3.75" high. 4.5" dia.

the colour looks like Isle of Wight tortoiseshell, but is the base smooth? if so, i don't think that's IOW, but Mdina perhaps.

I've been looking at the etched name for a while and all I can see is Wharf? Approx 9 cm long with colour only in the base. The colours would be more Mediterranean.

Hmm maybe, more likely it's another name. Most forged names are on larger pieces in a similiar style as the artist.

Cute little vase - mottled amber colours with a polished base. Initially I thought Alum or Isle of Wight... But I don't think I'm on the right tracks??

Mtarfa in Malta. I know it doesn't read much like Mtarfa, but some of their signatures are like that.

Vase 18.5 cm tall, streaky patterns of purple, white, lilac. Ground base,
Signature seems to say Hilary in joined script
Checked a few Hilary glassmakers.
Could be Hilary Green, Dartington designer?
