Any ideas on this?
Thought it might be Whitefriars/Powell but someone has told me this is not the case.
It's certainly a very nice piece of glass!!

I have something similar to this - controlled bubbles and amber glass - which is Whitefriars. I haven't seen a Whitefriars with the brown spatter. It may be Stevens & Williams.

This is the Whitefriars bowl for comparison.
9" diameter.
Another possibility is Sklo Union, Czech. I know they do controlled bubbles and amber glass, but, again, I don't know if they do the spatter.

Thanks Naomi - someone on glassmessages has suggested Royal Brierley - S&W was the forerunner, right?
Any clue in the polished pontil? Looks to be a bit more irregular than the one on yours...........

Not sure about Royal Brierley - I only know their iridescent range of glassware.
Another contender is Blenko - check out an old catalogue page showing a bowl like yours (although I think their bases are a lot thicker):
