Kenny Lynch...The Singer..and Artist ??

Hi all....not sure if you are old enough to remember Kenny Lynch(Singer and Actor)...does anybody know if he was an artist

Recently i bought two framed sketches of Danny La Rue(on serviettes)...with a label of Ken Lynch. I spoke to the lady in the charity shop who said they had been drawn by Kenny Lynch-the singer...or as she said "The Black Singer"-as though there was another

They are actually good sketches of Danny as Marlene Dietrich and Mae West

Any help appreciated

indeed...though i did see him in a pub in the 70's with Danny La Rue...sketching..it was the Coach and Horses in Soho

There is no record of Kenny Lynch is any art books that I have but that doesn't mean that these sketches are not by him.

To be honest if they said they were sketch by Picasso or even John Lennon then that would be hard to believe and might get you a spot on "Fake or Fortune". However, although "by Kenny Lynch" would give them a certain interest and value, it isn't going be be significant so why not!

You might eventually get a reply from the email so don't give up.

Finally, as an aside, I did know someone who ran a gallery in the West End during the Fifties and Sixties, who gave Charlie Drake a solo exhibition but that's another story.
