1930s/40s German Desk Lamp With 'S' Logo Dr Ing Schneider & Co

Had this for about 10 years, and was never able to pin down the maker. Presumably made in Germany - it was bought there and is very German in style.

Enamelled metal shade, pressed steel neck pivoted to adjust at both ends, and a cast iron base. On the base is a distinctive 'S' logo.

The switched bulbholder is a contemporary replacement, so pay that no attention.

It is Schaco, Frankfurt lamp. First generation from 1920-30's :)

I recommend my person the lighting issues. Especially with the Bauhaus period :)

Could you tell us (Modern retro) where you got your infos from, do you have a catalogue, a old ad?
I don't doubt your honesty, but I just want to understand and be sure.

No one will give you a proof if you do not trust someone. In the literature, even this company is often confused with the SIS. I focused my interest to the lamp a few years ago. Lot of research, reading, many lamps in the collection. I also recognizes them as construction elements because I dealing with the renovation also. Schaco had three logos depending on the period, it is the oldest one.

Why you are so offensively oriented? You can find it in "G. Schanzenbach & Co., GmbH, Frankfurt" catalogs. For example price list from 30's

I think there might be a communication problem here, rather than anyone being intentionally offensive.

SORRY!: it is NOT a Schaco. The "S" has nothing to do with Schaco. It is SCHNEIDER from Dr Ing Schneider an Co! Have a look to designretter.de if you need confirmation! I have also catalogues of both brands. Your scissor lamp is extremely beautiful!
Dr Ing Schneider an Co (aKa DISCO) was also producer of Horax and Fabrilux!
