Heavy studio pottery pitcher???

Not a familiar type to me im afraid and being unmarked im unlikely to find out much about it hope someone recognises the work, It feels well made and heavy maybe a stoneware of some type im completely outta my depth when it comes to glazes and ageing pieces of studio but i think it maybe recent maybe china but fingers crossed it isnt. Slighty over 9" tall thanks for taking a look
