THE LAST ONE. It almost feels like the Dying Of The Light. What with Ceramics Education Degree courses dying with the death of a thousand financial cuts,here comes the same with Rufford.No doubt other Potter's Markets will take its place,but this one was so prestigious,and having gone on for so long.Siggghhhhhh.......
In the present and ongoing financial climate,one does seriously wonder about the future of Craft.

Oh god, it's only up the road, will I like anything, what will I do with it?
Do they have a 50p basket?......

I have often walked away without buying but still enjoyed the day.
There are workshops,demonstrations,food and drink and wonderful grounds to walk around,if you like nature it's a real treat!
Also I have learned loads by talking to the potters
(you can't ask a book questions)

I just got back home from Rufford and I enjoyed every second!
All the potters I spoke to were lovely and the weather was glorious
next years Rufford Earth & Fire was advertised so I guess it wasn't the last one after all

Before going in the fair we spent 2 wonderful hours in the grounds of Rufford park

Hoping not to be tempted at Hatfield on Friday but I imagine I will be.

yes I was pleased to get away with wallet still full, I could easily have spent a couple of grand but I need less pottery in my collections

Someone posted photos of Patricia Shone's stand and I would have bought the lot if I'd gone.

sadly the Rufford venue will not be used this year, the grounds of the old venue were half of the appeal for me

the new venue could never match up to Rufford and after watching a vid of last years fair it falls a very ,very long way short
