Kirkham Pottery (England)
Hi,
I have owned this jug for years and it's been packed away in a storage box. I tried today to find the pattern name without success. I wonder if any one here can provide the answer please. As you can see the photo was taken during warmer and sunnier times! The jug is 5.5" tall and quite bulky. Marked Kirkham Pottery Made in England to base.
Thanks,
Bryn

The name of the pattern is "Chef-and-stripe" and it was made between 1959 and 1962.
Re: Kirkham Pottery (England)
Apparently, Kirkham was taken over by Portmeirion Pottery, which continued to make its designs for existing customers. So, the Portmeirion backstamp can appear on some pieces.

I picked up a teapot recently in same design.... first glance I thought it was a variation on the Wade "Zamba" pattern with more colour added.
