Doulton Burslem Pitcher/Infuser?
I have this piece that I know practically nothing about.
It was passed down from my grandmother. I am not
sure if it is a pitcher or infuser. It has a small tube
inside with holes in the bottom so I was assume it's
a pitcher/infuser for maybe mint leaves or tea or
lemon leaves.
I've looked for a while and I can't seem to get anywhere
with this. I've noticed the stamp places it somewhere
between the Mid 1880's to the early 1890's. I have googled
it and can only find very basic information. I'm providing
some pictures so hopefully someone can help me with
this. I would appreciate any help! Thanks :D
There is also these other markings that I'm not sure of either.

The Registration Number suggests that the design was registered in 1884, which fits in with the Doulton mark, and it is in the "trendy" Aesthetic Movement style of the time. Not sure what its purpose was but I will see if I can find out.

The design is what I would term "Blush Ivory" much in the style of Royal Worcester.

Re: Doulton Burslem Pitcher/Infuser?
I can't recall ever seeing a piece of Doulton like this before and, as Potty indicates, it is not in the style associated with the factory. Therefore I imagine it is rare but the factory and the style are not very popular here in the UK currently so I do not think that would equate to a very high price. Maybe I am wrong but it would need to be in a specialist sale to test that out.
