can anyone identify this signature? - London Glassblowing Workshop

This is a pretty perfume bottle, signed to base. I am useless at signatures. Does anyone recognise it please?

Lynne, LGW is for London Glass Works I think - Peter Layton's - on the site I believe if I recall, there is a list of makers. It doesn't look like his sig or Norman Stuart Clarkes from what I can make out, but that's all I can see at the mo.

ah, actually I may have got my info mixed up - London Glassblowing seems to be PL's . I'm sure I have a piece with LGW on it - I'll go check.

no, I was right, the LGW stands for London Glassblowing Workshop set up by Peter Layton Rotherhithe 1970 (source - Contemporary British Glass -Crafts council Publication published Jan 1993)

Nice to see you here... I am trying to get back into my id forums again. I was really busy here before but let it all slide.

And now I can't remember anything that I knew before!!

I've sent the pictures through to the LGW who are usually very helpful, so will report back if they are able to id it.

that's good - I didn't recognise the design and the handwriting is abysmal lol
