Raku ? Pottery Backstamp ID
I have looked everywhere to identify backstamp on this attractive piece which I think is Raku.
It stands about 9 1/4 inches / 235mm high.
The backstamp looks like JB joined together.

Could be John Bedding.

I'm pretty sure it isn't by John Bedding , Iv'e seen quite a few and this isn't his style .

I'm sure it is raku as you say.
I don't think it's by John Bedding, but I think James Bassett could be a possibility, I have not been able to find any of his raku online to compare though.

Due to the cross on the J Ed? Or have you seen some of his raku work?
I did think the mark is slightly different, but I've found that with "the book" the marks are often not quite right in the book.

Yes , I know some of the book marks aren't always exact , but I saw some of his work ( trying to find it again ) it's not he same , anywho I'm not sure Rob's piece is Raku and there must be loads of JB's about .

Checked with Jim Bassett and he confirms it's not one of his.
