Re: Thomas Webb (Stourbridge)
I found the answer with help from GMB, it is a Webb vase from the 1960's flair range.

Re: Thomas Webb (Stourbridge)
Webb's Flair range designed by David Hammond & Stanley Eveson in the 1960's. These are big chunky pieces of glass, a bit of a departure for Webbs from their more reserved traditional ranges.

Purple and blue 12" each, amber 9" and an impressive total weight of 5kg

Arts Crafts Slag Glass vase - polished pontil - Webb, Bronze
Going through my glass collection and after ideas!! lol..
Had this absolutely years - and probably one of my favourites!
It stands about 16cm tall and whilst I figured it was just an end of day vase - then wondered about the polished pontil mark to the base! Any suggestions I could investigate please would be welcome!

Re: Thomas Webb (Stourbridge)
Possibly Webb 'Brain' glass. Search 'Brain glass' and you may spot it or similar.

Re: Thomas Webb (Stourbridge)
so upon searching Brain glass... i got too excited at the possibility it was Loetz... but the rim was just not right!...
But low and behold, it perfectly fits the pics I've seen when I researched Webb... and in fact it is called Bronze - c1880.
Now, to put it carefully back into my cabinet! lol
Cheers loads
