Can anyone help me with identifying this piece. I believe it's Finnish from the 50's and would love to trace more of from the same designer. It is a wall hanging and around each butterfly there are small impressions. The butterflies have a translucent glaze in them.

Many thanks!

I haven't seen anything like them before, they certainly are not common items in the UK but I love them!!

Raija Kojonen made butterfly brooches but not nearly as attractive

Thank you - they are lovely aren't they? I have another piece by the same artist and will pop up that up too and see if that helps.

They originally belonged to an elderly relative (now deceased) and the only info my other relatives can recall is that the were from Finland. Not sure where she would have bought them - she's was from Cornwall.

These are by Finnish artist Rut Bryk and worth quite a bit of money, Google her name there is lots of info online.

Thank you very much Dave for this. I guess I won't be adding to the collection - a little outside my price range but they are lovely. Wish we hadn't sold the other pieces now.
