This is one of the finest pieces of stoneware I've seen--about 5 inches ear to ear, super thin walls--about 1/8 inch. Nice chop mark that I can't find any info on. Looks English to me. Any thoughts/observations?Nice brown pot--anyone know who made it? Brown_11

I agree it looks English,the first letter in the mark resembles an S.
I would push some plasticine,clay or blue tac over the mark to see if the imprint is easier to read
