Weighs quite a bit and has the coil to the inside.

Is this Tremaen ?

This unusual piece is 19.5 cm tall x 6 cm x 5 cm and has an unmarked base covered with green felt. It appears to me to be a similar style of marking to some Tremaen I have seen.
Can anyone confirm this ?

Re: Louis Hudson , Cornwall

Very unusual to see an incised signature , usually moulded in the repeat patterns .

Cornish? Vases Louis Hudson?
Any ideas please on these two vases, obviously same maker and neither marked. I have seen similar listed as Louis Hudson but nothing much to confirm this. Were similar pieces made by several different potters? Thanks John

Louis Hudson Gloss finish?
This appears to be very much Louis Hudson but I have never seen one with this high gloss glaze, is this unusual or not even Louis Hudson? The glaze is actually a deeper brown and more even than it appears in photo. All thoughts appreciated

Re: Louis Hudson , Cornwall
Seems to have a treacle glaze finish. Maybe it's an early vase and they were experimenting with glazes?
Is the base the same as others with this pattern?
I think it's just been over fired

Re: Louis Hudson , Cornwall
Forgot to add the obligatory base shot. Inside it feels like coils or ridges although there looks like a mould seam across base and up sides

Sorry forgot the obligatory base shot, although there appears to be a mould seam on base and under glaze on sides it feels to have ridges or coils on inside.

Re: Louis Hudson , Cornwall
There's a pic on the Hudson thread that appear to be coils inside the pot.

It looks like someone has got hold of the moulds as this isn't a normal glaze for hudson pieces , they did sometimes use a white glaze , but never seen a finish like this one , deffo moulded .

Re: Louis Hudson , Cornwall
Isn't it Louis Hudson when his seal impression is a bit unsteady?

Pretty sure it's Louis Hudson.
Google 'Louis Hudson cylinder vase' and several like this one pop up.

Wheel vase, - Louis Hudson
A vase I bought at auction today, no bids against me so a very good buy, it seems to be of high quality, the mark, both sides of the vase are marked, are clear but, to me, indecipherable, 19 is hand written on the base; can anyone help?

Re: Louis Hudson , Cornwall
Have not seen this mark before combining uppercase L with lower case h, possibly both lower case. Did Hudson use many different marks?
