Terry Davies, Cooper Pottery
Hi, I have just picked up a couple of stoneware moneyboxes in the shape of a pig and a bull with the Cooper Pottery mark on. I understand that they were potting in Staffs/Shropshire during the 1960's/70's and would be grateful if anyone had any other information about this pottery.
Thanks John
Thanks John

Re: Terry Davies, Cooper Pottery
Cooper Pottery was one of the companies supplying product to the Australian party plan company Cooperware in the late 1970s. Its sales manager, Ron Petch and his wife, Mary, took over the pottery in the early 1980s and were in the process of moving it to Wales when they were invited to join the Cooperware operation in Sydney. They moved to Australia in 1982, and took over management of Cooperware's Albury Pottery on the NSW/VIC border. There, they developed new party plan and retail lines and extended the range of animal money boxes previously made for Cooper Pottery, hence this Albury Pottery tortoise:

Another CP pot?
I love this little flattened thrown pot. Anyone recognise this mark? Obviously I rushed home having bought it convinced i'd just got a Colin Pearson for 50p only to be quickly convinced that I hadn't... but it is a nice piece.
