well, i guess very loosely. wasn't quite sure what the criteria for "studio" pottery would be - only thrown on a wheel or modelled by hand? I imagine Basil Matthews figures where made in a mould and then had bits applied by hand and the flower decoration is handpainted. I believe he made quite limited numbers of each design.

a studio pot is made by one person from start to finish compared with art pottery that may have a thrower,a decorator and a kiln technician.

so places like the Leach pottery at St Ives, the potters there really did all the jobs from start to finish with each piece? or would their output not be classed as Studio pottery?
