night scene painting - any ideas of potential artist?

well spotted, there is a lable on the back of the frame which looks to be in Spanish to me.

yes that's all the info, the Spanish artist,his address and phone number

or possibly Quadros - the label is creased

so Marcos Artisticos is the artist? i thought that was probably the framer?

Interestingly, amongst Spainish speaking countries, SRL is used as a company suffixly only in Argentina and Uruguay (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Types_of_business_entity)

And the street address - Rodriguez Pena - is named after an Argentine politician.

So at least you know where it was framed.......

i took the canvas out of its frame and managed to find a signature tucked away in a dark corner. looks something like m p sebbano (serbano possibly) and painted in '56. i've tried searching google but can't find anything similar.
