Yes, this dish looks more late Honiton than Jersey

I have been able to establish that this tile picture was painted by the artist Maureen Martin who worked at the Jersey Pottery between 1965 and 1992. Her early work had a triangle mark (see photograph) and later on she used a tan colour dot as a mark.

A pottery trivet set in a wooden frame which, I'd guess from the colours and style, dates from the 60s or 70s. There looks to be the remains of a label to the underside. I'm siding towards Continental. Any clues anyone, please?

I think it’s from the Sicily-Italy area, eg Santo Stefano di Camastra

I think the decorators were allowed to use their imagination; there weren’t set pattern names

It appears to be initialled VU or YU by the decorator. The pottery was set up by Charles and Edward Potter and they employed decorators. There may be a Jersey Pottery Collectors Group who would know their names but I haven't seen a list. I think the decorators had a free hand on what they painted on the pots, although ultimately the design would be approved by Charles and Edward.

Thought I'll add that Jersey Pottery was one of the victims of the pandemic and closed down in 2020. Checked companies house and is now listed as a dormant entity which is sad after all the decades they were producing ceramics. Their restaurant business on the island seem unaffected.
