Remind me who made this 50s smoked glass
....cocktails mixer and stirrer.
There is a waist of plasticised cord for better grip. Did know years ago and dont ask me to show you the marks on the bottom Pip - lol.

Definitely Italian - I've one lurking in the attic with a generic 'Made In Italy' export label. No idea on the specifics of maker, but I assume it's of Empoli production, c.1970s at the earliest.
The form and concept is loosely borrowed from Jacob Bang designs for Kastrup around 1960.

This pitcher, designed in 1960, was also produced by Kastrup Glas with a wicker wrap just under the ridge of the waist:
7178 'Grøn Series' Pitcher.
The type of plastic used on the Italian version feels very modern to me, and the style of the export label matches up with mid/late 1970s glass lamps I've had from the Empoli region.

I agree with Nic - it's most likely 70s/80s production.

Annoyingly, I can't find any online examples of a wicker-bound version - but this lamp from the corresponding 'Opaline Series' (it shared the same forms as the 'Grøn Series') should give you an idea of the type of wooden wrap used on the originals:
