It looks a bit severe and basic. Torquay ware was mainly aimed at the holiday souvenir market. Would this have sold to them very well?

Indeed they had them displayed in those small ladder racks. Back in the 70's we ran a shop that sold such holiday goods. We would never have dreamt of selling anything like this. Just too dull.
