Colourful Pottery Vase, BD Mark 1919 Empty Colourful Pottery Vase, BD Mark 1919

Interesting pottery vase, 4" high, which I hoped might be a piece of Minton secessionist ware when I saw it at a distance... sadly not! Thick, gloopy decoration, iridescent under the waist and with an unusual mark to the underside which I'm assuming is BD but is possibly BN and presumably the date. I'd suggest that it might be Continental but certainly wouldn't stake anything important on that. Ideas most welcome!
