M mark, Slaidburn Pottery
i should be most grateful if someone more knowledgeable than I could confirm that the mark of M inscribed on this pottery is that of the studio of Melvyn and Irene Swindells of Slaidburn. My sister-in-law had a home in Slaidburn and bought these as a gift very early 1980's I believe, saying they had been purchased locally.
Thank you for your help,

Looks right. Not their usual decoration but the mark looks correct and the provenance certainly helps the identification

Thank you Philpot and NaomiM for your responses and confirmation that these mugs are from the Slaidburn Pottery. I looked at the link, Philpot, and the M does seem identical. Pleased to have this info, thank you!
