Poole Pottery help please
Hi all,
I picked up this peice of poole pottery which is a nice-sized planter 16.5cm tall x 19cm. the outide has these lovely brush flowers and the inside is plain chocolate brown.
The bottom has the no. 496, ABJ and then the letter K
I have checked the Part one and Two in here for Poole Pottery which has left me really confused. I thought the 496 was the style but I read that the ABJ is the style and the K is the artist. I thought this was a peice by Jacqueline Mackenzie Leonard but now I not so sure.
Thank you
Emma

Re: Poole Pottery help please
496 is the shape number for the pot itself
ABJ is the design ref
and K is the paintress
this pot was made in 1979 and was designed for the Dorset Collection
