Yes you are right. The Aldermaston style is absolutely unmistakeable once you have seen it. Each individual potter there had a mark, which were always based around an A mark.
Andrew Hazelden was at Aldermaston a long time. The pottery as a full time working pottery closed in 1993/94. But a few potters including Alan Caiger Smith still worked as an individual studio. He finally left in 2006 when Alan Caiger himself retired and sold the buildings off.
Oh, as an after thoughtHe now has a pottery near Reading. Just off the M4,

Re: Andrew Hazelden
Hi,
I have this lovely which thanks to Phil who confirmed its a Andrew Hazeldon peice from Aldersaston Pottery, however I'm having issues dating it as the P. on the base is not listed on the year marks added by Jevpots.
Anyone able to assist me.
Thank you Emma aka TWB

Andrew Hazelden
Andrew Hazelden used year marks when he set up his own studio (or at the earliest when he was just renting studio space at Aldermaston after the pottery closed). He continued to used the AH monogram he'd used at Aldermaston, so the p. means he potted it after Aldermaston
It was getting confusing having two threads for this jug so I've moved the posts off the Aldermaston thread, and I'll merge this with Andrew Hazelden's thread in due course
