There seems to also be a purposeful Italic 'S'

I think it looks like an American piece. Would love to know some opinions

I don't see it as German in design, although some Royal Bon pieces are similar in shape.

I think the colours and Daffodil Design is more reminscnt of American Art pottery.
But their work is usually painted and not inscised..

I imagine your close to the right period though.
