Chinese Copper and Silver Plate/Dish. Information required.
I bought this recently in a local Charity shop. It is about 8" in diameter and is copper with silver inlaid Kanji figures. I have had a go with Google translate and it suggests the interpretation is, "Big wind in the Sky". My daughter teaches Japanese and suggests the word "Sky" could also mean "Heaven". Anyone read Kanji out there?! Also the lettering down the side may be a signature of the maker?? Or is the whole thing a kind of Chinese proverb, or maybe a Bible Verse/Reference?

I have it on good authority that the plate/dish is in fact JAPANESE! O well, it's all Greek to me!
