Thanks. People often call that style base a bird bath base.
It's obviously 'inspired' by Baxter's textured range for Whitefriars, I did originally wonder if it was a frigger, but it's clearly nothing to do with Whitefriars.
It reminds me a bit of a 'zig zag' bark vase I had which I never identified.
I suspect your vase may be 70s Japanese, but that's just an educated guess. You could try some of the specialist Japanese art glass groups on Facebook. Good luck.
