By style alone that is going to be difficult. It is slipware, with what looks like finger wipe decoration. But a lot of potters did work like that over the years. Where did you get it? As in many cases studio pottery is often bought locally.

It might be one of the Cumbrian Potteries set up in the '70s, but without a mark it'll be difficult to ID. It might be the base of a cheese dome; many potters don't seem to bother marking them, for some reason
