This vase is about 12 inches high.  It is very heavy.
It was excavated either in Friesland or near Schagen, NH.

The story in relief goes around the entire circumference 1 time.
The first character is a man with a duck/goose followed by various men and women.

This was excavated by my grandfather, Johannes van der Waal, working as a laborer restoring city works.  I believe it was just after WWII.  I now have it in Canada.

My mom advised me it is very old; and she believed the rest of the excavated pieces from that construction job are in a museum.  I don't know why they let my grandfather keep it (could be due to the country being bankrupt due to the war).

As both my parents are deceased, any suggestions at all would be so helpful.[
