Hi,

I have an idea who made this jug and where it was made, but would like a second opinion. Best regards

You obviously play a mean hand of Poker! Tenmoku Jug - probably Abuja Pottery 1f600

A Winchcombe looking piece. Nicely formed and decorated. But I am not a fan of inscribed marks. They are too much bother to identify, if one can. One personally I would have left alone!

By one of the Abuja or Jos potters. Maybe Gugong Bong but I haven’t seen one with this incised monogram

Gugong Bong was my thought. Perhaps he just forgot to stamp it and scratched his initials instead. It definitely has an abuja look to it and the large blob of glaze on the base is common.
