A beautiful figurine, Putties and a sheep - Capodimonte  Empty A beautiful figurine, Putties and a sheep - Capodimonte

Dear pottery experts, I hope you can tell us a bit about the Crown + N mark on this figurine we have from our family - The figure shows putties and a sheep with a remarkably long tail. Figurine measures 22 X 17 X 22 in centimetres (L + W + H). The figurine is in good order except for a small nibble at the ear of the sheep (see image 7) - We would be most grateful for any help.

It might well be a the Capodimonte Crown with the N mark. Third one down in this link.

On the other hand, given that type of Capodimonte may well be quite valuable. It might be an imitation.

Looks like a nice early piece (late 19thC) of Capodimonte

Philpot - and NaomiM, thank you ever so much for your kind help - I have taken an additional photo of the Crown + N mark, as I could see that the initial picture had a line of mirror light going through the mark

There is also a possibility it’s by one of the German/Austrian factories
