I think this is more research than identification. With the help of some good people of Rye (not the pottery but they suggested who to contact).
I was given the name of Leslie Davie as the maker of this bowl. His next door neighbour from the 1980s recognised what I called the three candle Mark but it apparently relates to 3 needles.
Has anyone come across this gentleman or his mark before or has any information regarding what happened to him?

The Marks book lists him as Leslie George Davie, potting 1954-62

Apparently he was also an artist so presumably he gave up potting to concentrate on painting
