Re: DH mark - David Heminsley
I’m pretty sure it’s David Heminsley. Usually it’s a stamp where as this looks handwritten, but the style is very similar

Thanks Naomi, it could well be his, I've found some listings where the mark is referred to as incised but as yet no photos. He was based fairly local to where I bought it.

Also, are the crack marks on the base normal production marks. The crack isn’t raised or indented.

Thank you so much Naomi, I would never have found out the maker without your help.

Re: DH mark - David Heminsley
The star crack on the base would have happened during firing or cooling after firing and is a minor fault that would detract from its desirability.

Hello Studio Pots
Thank you for your reply, when I looked closely the crack is also on the inside, however still holds water. Any idea of value, my hubby is not a fan

Re: DH mark - David Heminsley
Perfect items are selling for £10-£20 on eBay. There are a lot listed at way higher prices than that but are not selling. But with the crack it’s pretty worthless

Hi Naomi
I couldn’t see anything similar on EBay or much from the same maker on any other sites. Do you have access to past sold prices?
Just wondering

On ebay, if you're on an iphone click filter and scroll down and you should see a tick box for sold and completed listings. On the desktop PC it's on the left hand side of the screen when you scroll down
