Small Art Deco Vase.. signed Loetz
Hi,
I did try to determine which engraving technique has been used for the 'Loetz' mark.
But confused myslef.
I'm not sure these photos of the base will be much help, I can try and get clearer images if need be.
There is also a strange mark which iv'e gone over in pencil, which vaguely resembles the crossed arrows,
but more so like number 4 and letter D.
Any help would be hugely appreciated.
It's a lovely clear piece of glass..but to me looks more like Kralik.
Did Loetz make clear glass like this?
Apx. 6" tall.
Thank you.

Re: Small Art Deco Vase.. signed Loetz
this can't be "that" Loetz mark for sure . as i see , this is an amateur "signature" made by an engraving stone.
i think it is a decanter, a perfume bottle and bottles with that type of metal frame usually had a cap. is the metalic frame copper or silver and has it any mark on it ?
thank you for additional informations, i am also curious to find the maker.

I haven't found the shape on the Loetz database, and the mark doesn't match the illustrations, so someone being naughty with the Dremel imo

Hi,
It seems to be copper rim, not marked. The glass is very fine and light, so not sure it was for perfume?
I'm glad you share the same intrigue as I do really love the shape.
The applied green 'handles' do remind me of Kralik.
Google lens hasn't provided any similar results.
It's a strange one.

It would appear so, based on what I'd expect the mark to look like at least.
The acid etched mark below the Loetz is peculiar though. It makes me wonder why if someone was attempting to pass something off as Loetz, they didn't just do a
straight forward and well known crossed arows mark.
