Cheese dish with an R mark Empty Cheese dish with an R mark

Another of my purchases recently was this cheese dish - bought in South Wales. I liked it, so went back for it.
There is a stamp with an R and dot - it would be nice if I knew the maker.

I'm afraid it's not in the Marks book. Looks like a '70s piece
