Large Secretary Desk with hidden compartments, unknown origin and maker.

No maker's marks on this piece of furniture. It is complete, with the drawer that appears missing and the top of the secretary taken off for moving it. My grandparents had found it in the first house they rented in the 1950s/1960s with no other known history. I assume its early 20th century, maybe late 19th century. It stands, with the top in place, at about 6 feet tall. It does have multiple hidden compartments.
